This Great Horned Owl was not happy to see me. It was a wet morning and I was entering the blind at Frank Lake, This owl had decided to spend the night inside the blind so when I went in we both had a shock. He flew outside, landed and glared at me for a full five minutes.
On this day the Kananaskis was particularly photogenic. The trees were just starting to turn giving a sprinkling of fall colors. To top it off, the clouds were heavy but would break is places to highlight a peak. A minute later a different peak of patch of trees would be highlighted.
Orchids can be temperamental but when they find a good spot in the home of a green thumb they thrive. This second set of blooms for this orchid are more magnificent than the first.
